Irradiation chamber

The 400x400x400mm dimensions of the GSR D1’s irradiation chamber combined with three easily adjustable irradiation levels enable optimum positioning of the object to be irradiated. Cable/air input access points are built into the irradiation chamber.

Dose Rate

The activity of the Cs-137 sources and thereby the dose rate can be optimised in accordance with the user’s requirements. A dose difference of <10% is achievable at irradiation level 2.

Operation

The GSR D1 is user-friendly and very easy to operate, thanks to the high quality of the reliable components and the unit’s comprehensive safety system. A display shows the current operational status at all times.

Radiation safety

The GSR D1 is a self-contained gamma irradiator with a maximum surface dose rate of <5μSv/h at a maximum activity of 200TBq Cs-137.

Safety Feature

• Operated by means of a key switch and security code
• In the event of a power cut, the irradiation cycle will continue for up to 300 min
• Independent locking of irradiation chamber and loading hatch
• Continuous monitoring and control of the unit before and during irradiation procedure
